Guidelines for Friend of Education certificate

Each chapter will initially be given two certificates. More are available from the State Corresponding Secretary, if needed. The chapter will set up guidelines for the awarding of the certificates. You may award all at one time or award certificates one at a time. Suggested criteria...

1. Recipient should not be an educator or working in education.

2. Individuals or groups that have an ongoing presence in your community in their support for education might be awarded.

3. People in elected office cannot be recognized as it would seem like supporting a political candidate which is against our charter as a non-profit organization. After they have left office, they might be reconsidered.
