"LOSE TEN YEARS IN TEN WEEKS"

Sounds like a great promise, huh? According to the Reader's Digest, it's possible. There are just a few simple steps.

  1. Nibble Away at the Years.
  2. Of course, there has to be a down side. You've got to eat correctly. Who'da thunk it??

Anti-aging experts say a diet rich in omega-3 fatty acid fish – salmon, tuna, or sardines – are essential to cardio-vascular health and may help maintain mental performance. Fish consumption has been linked to lower cancer incidence. Combine fish with soy products, fruits and vegetables to help your health. Remember, you should eat five or six servings of fruit and vegetables.

  3. Try a Natural Face Lift.
  4. If you're into acupuncture, there are places on the face that can be stimulated. This increases circulation and therefore makes you look younger. Hmmmm.

  5. Start Moving!
  6. Aerobic exercise is important for looking and feeling younger. Your circulation is increased and your cardio-vascular health will improve. Walking is great! Start out gradually, say, ten minutes a day. Work you way up by increasing your time by 50%. So, 10 minutes the first week, 15 the second, 22, 33, etc.

  7. Pamper Your Skin.
  8. If you smoke, stop. Otherwise, stay out of the sun. Use a sun-tanning cream instead. Use moisturizers and maybe an alpha-hydroxy cream to get rid of the dead skin on the surface.

  9. Get your Zzzz's
  10. Most adult get less than eight hours sleep a night. Eyes puffy, skin unhealthy-looking, we head for work. Eight hours of sleep will help give us energy to last throughout our grueling day and reduce the baggage we carry. If you have trouble getting to sleep or staying asleep, avoid caffeine, alcohol, and cigarettes three to four hours before bedtime. Though a glass of wine may help relax you so that you can sleep, a few hours later a rebound effect may wake you in the middle of the night.

  11. Build a Stronger Body

As you age, muscles atrophy. Weaker muscles make us look older. We lose, on average, one third of a pound of muscle every year after age 40 and gain at least as much body fat. Strength building exercises will help to keep the muscles toned and remove the body fat. A 30- to 40-minute session two or three times a week will help improve your body in just four weeks.

Imagine, you can do this. It's just common sense, so how come we don't just do it?
