SERVICE PROJECTS REPORT

I received a letter from the Wayne County Family Center. It says:

Dear Members,

The staff and residents of the Wayne County Family Center wish to extend their thanks and gratitude to the members of Delta Kappa Gamma for your generous donation of delightful children’s books donated on Thursday, November 19, 1998.

We are very fortunate to have friends such as you. You have always shown kindness and awareness for our homeless population and for this we are most grateful.

We know that the children will spend many delightful hours reading and absorbing this fine literature.

As always, we cannot thank you enough for your many deeds and projects directed at this center. As we are seeing an ever increasing homeless population, our job is becoming more difficult, but with your help it is made much easier.

We wish all of you the best of the best and a happy and blessed holiday season.

Sincerely,

Cynthia Haberman, Director

Joyce Shain, Resource/Activities Coordinator

Carmen Yaconis, Building Manager

I have contacted Joyce Shain to get a list of suggested supplies for our hygiene bags. The Service Projects committee will supply from our fund:

Jackie Smart and Judy Handley stand outside of the Wayne County Family Center having just delivered nearly eighty children's books for their library.

The Committee requests that you consider picking up some of the following items and bring them to the meeting on February 10th. We will assemble 36 bags and deliver them to the shelter. Since make-up/perfume is a personal choice item, any that is donated will be put into a communal box for residents to select from. The Center requested the following items:

I hope to see all of you laden down with goodies at the February 10th meeting.
