Call to order:
Meeting was called to order at 6:56 p.m. by President Jackie Smart at the Water Club Grille.
President’s Report:
- The January minutes as written in the February Bulletin were approved. A motion was made by Debbie Ervin and seconded by Barb Broadley to accept the minutes.
- Jackie read Simonne’s letter for reinstatement. Sandy moved and Mary Jo seconded to accept her. The vote was unanimous for reinstatement to our chapter.
- Jackie reminded the Professional Affairs committee to look for possible candidates for the Distinguished Service Award.
- Grant-in-Aid applications need to be mailed to Cindy by March 30.
Treasurer’s Report:
- No report...Treasury remains the same since no checks have been written.
Corresponding Secretary’s Report:

- Personal Growth and Development - The group is practicing an adaptation of "My Name is Annie" for the March meeting.
- Legislation – see State Stats article.
- Service Projects – Hygiene bags are being put together tonight and will be delivered at the end of the week.

Johnnye has been a teacher, learning consultant, assistant principal and is currently a principal at Elliott Elementary in Wayne/Westland Schools. She is recommended by Jackie Smart and Esther Loskowske.
- Finance – Grace is still out of town.
Communications
- Yearbook - Colleen Retherford reported on the yearbook and passed out an updated insert of the committees.
- Newsletter – Get articles and copy to Cindy or Jackie. Cindy’s e-mail is still not working.
Educational Services
- World Fellowship – Debbie collected quarters from those members who did not wear their pins.
- Grant –in-Aid- applications are due to Cindy Dietz March 30.
New Business:
No new business.
The meeting was moved to be adjourned by Ruth Everett and seconded by Shirley Wahlstrom at 7:15 p.m. Following the meeting, we filled personal care bags with donated items for the Wayne County Family Center.
