MINUTES in a MINUTE

June 23, 1999

Executive Board Meeting was called to order at 12:10 p.m. at Burton Hollow Swim Club. Present at the meeting were Alice Duke, Judi Fisher, Marie Canzoneri, June Chartrand, Judy Kolassa, Barbara Broadley, Jackie Smart, Fran Saenz and Grace Morgan.

Grace reported that we have $1,046.93 in checking and $5,980.64 in savings account.

We had several pieces of correspondence.

Membership was discussed as a major concern. We gain as many members as we lose each year. We should all seek active members and mentor them.

Nominations Committee will need to meet in the fall to present a slate to Executive board in December and to membership in February.

The Finance Committee will meet during August to audit the books.

Communications reported that our yearbook won a meritorious award. Nothing for our newsletter. We're not getting bad; the others are getting better! Jackie was appointed Communications Chairman for Alpha Iota State.

The Empathy Committee will continue under present guidelines.

Historian, Mary Jo and Carol Palk continue to update the scrapbooks.

World Fellowship check was not sent to international scholarship fund due to treasurer being out of town. It will be sent in the fall. We will hold another souvenir raffle in September to add to the fund.

Carol Palk's daughter received the Grant-in-Aid this year.

Ruth Everett was appointed Ad Hoc Library chairman.

Seminar 2000 met and is planning "something" for March.

Cindy Dietz and Sandy Becher will be meeting about Gamma Alpha Chapter Rules.

We had lunch and then worked on the calendar. (See the calendar.) We adjourned at 2:30 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Barbara Broadley (for Carol Holland)
