A small group of members met on February 23, 2000 for new member orientation. Mary Jo Dreffs brought a visitor, Sharon Williams, to the meeting. Sharon may be interested in joining Gamma Alpha next year. Elaine Opper, a prospective member who was sponsored by Susie Miller, was unable to attend. Jackie announced that Susie Miller’s husband passed away. Susie and Elaine were at the wake. Gamma Alpha sent a rose. Seminar 2000 was discussed. Members were encouraged to attend and to bring a friend. State Convention was discussed. Eight members said they were attending. Meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m.

Seminar 2000 was a success. Dr. Nedra Downing presented information about women from birth to the golden years. A great deal of information regarding hormone replacement therapy was shared. This was a worthwhile project and the Seminar 2000 Committee is to be applauded for their organization and effort.

Jackie reminded those present to remember to pick up a vacation souvenir for the silent auction at the September meeting. Proceeds go to the World Fellowship Fund.

Dues will be due at the first meeting.
